"Not worth it. Way over priced! We stayed one night. Staff are very nice. But the place is of a by gone era. It’s old but not in a charming way. Showers in the onsen are cold and you have to wait for many minutes in order for hot water to come out. "Such a cool place! We loved it here. It’s a bit of a ride to/from the city center, but worth it, especially if you’re looking for some quality “down time”. Do beware of bugs outside! Tons of orb weavers around (which are not aggressive), and other cool ones like grasshoppers, praying mantis, etc. The staff was extremely helpful in arranging taxis for us, because the GO app will not function as expected that far from town."

"I don’t believe this accommodation justify the cost if you will stay at this property without dinner and breakfast. I was able to reduce the expense for a night to c. $55 by using Expedia credits equal to $30, but if I didn’t have it, I would recommend to stay another one. Far from the center of Matsumoto Nothing was around the property Nothing would be provided to kids, such as amenities, welcoming tea and snacks, basically. The only nicer point was hot spring with good scene"
