"A very nice return stay at this historic hotel in the heart of San Francisco. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, and all aspects of the stay ran smoothly.
The hotel does charge a Resort Fee and while these are questionable anywhere, one aspect of the fee is a $10 reduction in food bills per room per day which incentivised us to take breakfast in the hotel, which we found excellent - high quality ingredients, attentive and friendly staff and plenty of choice.
The Top of the Rock bar and restaurant also feature stunning views and we enjoyed a drink in the evening there. Once again, friendly service, which was attentive, but not overly.
One caution is that this hotel is at Nob Hill and as the name suggests, it’s on a hill! Keep this in mind for on foot journeys as the walk home will be uphill!"
