"The unit was spacious, well laid out, and in an excellent downtown location within walking distance to Union Station, restaurants, the waterfront, and major attractions. "The actual stay was great. The room was very clean and I was very happy with the accommodation. My only feedback was the parking situation. Check-in, I asked about parking, I was not given very much direction as to what was available in the area. I drove around for a long time and eventually asked ChatGPT about the closest parking. There was parking one block away at the graduate house, part of the University of Toronto. It would’ve been so helpful had the front desk provided that information."

"Water pressure was awful, barely any at all. Try not to shower here. The bathroom had “Bruno Mars” written in steam when I showered, which means it wasn’t cleaned. What else wasn’t cleaned? The vent was purely decorative because there was no fan. Check-in was helpful, but that’s the only good thing about this hotel. Good location with underground on site parking. Service at The Elm was horrific. I wouldn’t stay here again."

"Nous avions réservé pour une Suite avec vue mais évidemment la Suite n’était plus disponible. Nous avons eu une chambre pour personnes en fauteuil roulant au 3è étage avec une vue sur une ruelle et un système de ventilation super bruyant. Bref disons que j’ai pas impressionné ma date!!! Ils nous o. Compensé avec abonnement et le déjeuner gratuit. Le personnage était vraiment désolé et.gentil"

University of Toronto - Wilson Hall Residence

"This is a university dorm residence, the front desk was open 23 hours per day, check in was quick, was issued with an electronic key fob, there was also security in the. lobby area, needed the key fob to access room, elevator and bathrooms. Room was as expected, a single bed with pillow, closet, desk and chair, all very basic furnishings. Access to communal bathrooms for men or women, with individual shower curtain areas and toilet stalls. Check out was easy and luggage storage was offered. The front desk staff appear to be university students so don't expect professional hotel service, but they were nice and helpful. The residence floors also had access to a kitchen common room area with games tables, and kitchen appliances. I think this accomodation is fine if you go in clearly understanding it is literally student dorms. Location is great, just minutes from a streetcar stop."

"Kimpton St George is a wonderful hotel and in a great, convenient area of town - close to the subway so that we could explore various parts of Toronto with ease and in quick time. Quiet rooms. Good a/c. 5 stars for thinking of the finer details: anything you’d need as a traveller was, or could be made available. Yoga mat, umbrella and iron/ board in the room. Q tips, cotton wipes, even makeup remover in the bathroom. Anything else you needed - from a forgotten toothbrush or shaving cream, to nail clippers, curling iron, etc is a phone call away. Impressed with the forethought. Free coffee and muffins in the lobby every morning, refreshing water and/or iced tead in the afternoon, and wine from 5-6 pm. Friends from another city also stayed there at the same time and it was nice to have a comfy area to sit and share a drink that wasn’t in our room. 4 stars for the bikes. We took advantage of the bikes one day but there were only 3 total at the hotel, so there were a couple of other times we wanted to use them, but 2 were out and only one was available. Recommend the hotel adds one more to the inventory. Staff were friendly but not always responsive. Coffee ran out one morning and was not refilled despite them being made aware. Front door persons regularly on their phones. At times the garbage in the lobby was full. We noticed the fitted sheet in our room wasn’t changed after a room clean. Small things noticed but overall did not negatively impact our stay."
