Hi Myreen,Thanks for your review. The motel is made of solid block so I''m not sure if it is the thin walls.The rooms are right next to each other so sometimes guests are louder than you'd expect. We experienced this too recently when we stayed at Taupo Hilton and were woken at 6am when guests next door on the talking on their balcony. If you did return - please mention this to us and we woud try and put you in a room where there were no guests next to you.Kind regardsGlenys
