"The hotel was impeccable! Super courteous staff, private open air hot spring bath. Food was outstanding! Highly recommend"

"Beautiful traditional hotel, great service, wonderful onsen and delicious food."

"Excellent service, excellent private onsen inside the room."

"Just amazing"

"Staff crew is very nice and helpful! Great value with good meals and nice facility"

"Charming traditional hospitality "

"Minakamikan is a great place to Stay, Clean and bright interior. Onsen was very nice, rooms have been keep in top shape, with new fresh tatami mats, clean walls, etc. Buffett breakfast had a lot of choices, Japanese and some western items. Wi-Fi in lobby only. free transport to and from Minakami station can be arranged."

"The room smelled like it had been smoked in for 20years, the bathroom wasn't great and had some mold presence. The room felt really outdated in general compared to the hotel which looks great when you first come in ! Breakfast was good, and staff really nice. Great location next to the nightlife and the temple is within walking distance !"

"This is by far one of the best ryokan in Japan because of its exceptional service. Everything is so perfect here!"

"Decor is dated. Worn out furniture. The room is pretty dimmed, not enough lighting. Food is excellent. Friendly staff."
