Helen Browning's Royal Oak was exactly as pictured on the booking site. The rooms were very quirky and comfortable. Definitely not the biggest room we have stayed in but perfectly functional. The communal area more than made up for this and gave us somewhere to chill out. Dinner and breakfast were really good as was the atmosphere in the bar. It is off the main highway a bit but well worth the effort.

Statement:
Our stay at Overtown Manor was the most pleasant stay we had while in England and Germany for a month.
Justify:
This is the only review my wife and I have ever written for an accommodation provider - which is testimony in itself.
Beautiful, immaculately maintained, spacious and "all the creature comforts you could ask for" accommodation.
Manicured gardens to stroll around.

Air conditioning noisy, old and lacked proper adjustment. Bathroom plug didn’t work properly. Breakfast a bit sparse if not early.
Welcome could be improved with a smile and welcome rather than making you feel like a job that has to be done.
Great position for the Cotswolds, Bath and Oxford.
Overall clean and generally friendly team.
