"Arrived at 2am from Gatwick, which was expected.The hotel was extremely quiet and we slept well. Unfortunately the night porter had told us that breakfast would be available until 10.30am, which is the case at the weekend but not on weekdays. "We had booked the four poster Bridal Suite as the cost could be redeemed with a voucher. The receptionist was very friendly. The decor of the communal areas was a bit dated. The room itself was very large but didn't have the wow factor I was expecting for the Bridal suite. Standard tea and coffee making facilities. Surprised to find no USB charging points. These cost very little to install and everyone uses them these days. Breakfast was included in our room rate, which we were pleased...

"It's a very pleasant pub/hotel. Friendly staff. Extremely close to Highclere Castle. The food was excellent. The only negative aspect was the bathroom. The shower cabinet is very small and vert high up, making it very hard in and out safely. Also there are not enough power points in the room. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended!"
