"The radiator had pink dye down it, which was also found on the "clean and fresh" towels. I was asked to pay a £100 sercurity fee upon my arrival as failure to do so was going to prevent me checking in. This was not stated on the website at all when I booked my stay. Reception staff were adamant that it was on the website but no matter how many times I told them they were having none of it. Even the guests checking in after me were shocked so there's proof it wasn't just a careless mistake and misunderstanding of my own. There is actually 4 blocks to the hotel each of which has a different door posing a security risk!! Found a slug in my bathroom and crack in the freshold slabs of the bathroom. There was a dent in the floorboards under the carpet near my bedside table which could have caused me to injure my ankle and/or foot. The view from my window was someone elses back garden that could be accessed by others (so much for privacy when my room and bathroom window is literally in someone's garden). I would never ever stay here again. You get one pillow that you have to fold to get a decent night sleep. The duvet is as thin as anything. Beds are hard. Carpet is outdated. Don't stay here I don't recommend unless your desperate and beware they ask for a 100 pound sercurity fee upon arrival and you get this back 3 to 7 days after checkout which I'm yet to see if I even get back. Appalled is an understatement."

"Bizarre and appalling. Never stayed anywhere like it, and that's not a good thing. Bizarre reception area that looks like it was done in the 70's, but they forgot to lay the carpet. Our room faced the car park so had the floodlights from the car park illuminating our room all night. The window only opened a fraction which wasn't enough to keep us cool. They kindly provided 2 tower fans to keep us cool, but they were so old they sounded like a pair of machine guns all night. Nice stains on the carpet. And a "parrot stand" in the corner???? The bathroom? The old tiles were painted green but they hadn't painted all the way to the top. Mold on the sealant and filthy everywhere. To be fair the staff were aware of the "issues" and said that the whole hotel is due to be refurbished. But £140 including breakfast did not reflect this fact. The whole thing was totally bizarre and I felt like I'd been taken advantage of."

"Our room was very small for 2 people..only 1 foot gap at each side of the bed and approximately 2 foot at the bottom between the bed and a dressing table, shower tray was still unclean. Paid for breakfast but didn't realise they didn't serve bacon or any pork in general which for a Best Western in the capital of what is British surprised us..it should of been an option at least. Everything else..the comfort was good, the parking was convenient, it was quiet and all the staff that we met were absolutely lovely and couldn't of been more helpful so 5 star for them but 3 star for the hotel from us."

"I purposely booked the room with air conditioning as travelling on a hot day 26/27 May. On the hottest day in the UK, the air con at the hotel was faulty. I heard the staff say there was a maintenance happening on site. Well, stuck in a room, where the entire floor has no cool air conditioning, you guess how unpleasant that was. Room 264, the air-con control unit was faulty. It turned itself off every 20 minutes after manually restarting. Got changed to room 261, where the control unit worked but there were no cool air, just air circulation. Sleep was not happening…"
