Although the building is somewhat dated… the service was exceptional, the beds were so fluffy and comfortable, the showers were hot and strong, and the location was key. " It's was a treat to stay in a traditional Ryokan-difficult to tell if this is really traditional or not. The onsen was nice, the futon beds were small and uncomfortable, the food looked spectacular but was pretty disappointing, very expensive dinner especially as there are so many nice places for a lot less near by.
