Frequently Asked Questions:
1. How is the drive to the cabin? The roads and private driveway to the cabin are paved and well maintained. As with most mountain areas there are curves, climbs and few guard rails so we highly suggest arriving before dark. Just pay close attention and drive slowly. City dwellers may need to channel their adventurous spirit. :)
2. Do I need 4-wheel drive to access the cabin? Only if the weather would require a 4-wheel drive to go anywhere such as heavy snow and icy conditions which is thankfully rare at our elevation of 1600 ft. Please check the weather before you leave.
3. What toiletries are provided? We provide shampoo, conditioner and body gel dispensers in each bathroom.
4. What household supplies are provided? Tissues in each bathroom, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom and dishwasher tablets. If you run out or need additional supplies, there's a Dollar General 10 minutes from the cabin.
5. Do you have a crib? Yes, we provide a Dream On Me mini crib outfitted with a mattress and sheets.
6. Do you provide a grill? Yes, we have a park style charcoal grill near the parking area for your use, please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid.
7. Is the hot tub cleaned after every stay? Yes, it’s drained, cleaned, and refilled for every stay.
8. When will I get the address and cabin access info? This will be provided via message the day before your stay. A few days before your stay we’ll provide you with local info that will help you pack.
9. Do you offer discounts? We offer a weekly discount and a monthly discount. From time to time, we may reduce the price to fill any remaining dates and that reduction will be reflected in the price you see when you’re reserving the cabin.
10. What if it snows while we're traveling to the cabin? Although it rarely gets severely cold or snowy in the Smokes during the winter months, it does happen occasionally. Snowfall typically occurs December through March, and sometimes as early as November.
Please check the weather forecast before traveling. If the weather calls for snow, bring some extra groceries and wood for the fireplace just in case you get snowed in for a couple days (which is a rare occurrence but good to be prepared if the weather is calling for snow).
Also, if you plan to take Route 441 (Newfound Gap Pass) through Smoky Mountains National park check current road conditions at GSMNP as it's frequently closed during inclement weather.

Our families first time in the pigeon forge/gatlinburg area and we LOVED it! The house and surrounding areas were the perfect place to relax and also explore the national park and local hotspots. We would def return to this home and area to vacation again!
We have stayed at several VRBO houses, this is the kids favorite so far. The mornings were great to see the sun shine over the mountains and with the birds singing. I would stay here again.
The location of this property is fantastic. VERY remote, which was what we were looking for find. Also, the hosts are excellent in their communication and very prompt. This was our 4th visit, so clearly its a keeper!
Overall the stay was wonderful! Loved the hiking trail right out the back door and the proximity to pigeon forge and the greatSmoky mountains! Kids loved the video arcade and the room downstairs!
This is the ideal property for a smokey mountain get away. Great views, all the accommodations. Not too far away from major tourist attractions and offers a lot of privacy. Hosts are great and respond quickly. Will definitely be back.
The property and view are gorgeous! Everything we needed was provided. We truly enjoyed our stay and since we didn't get to see any bears this time, we will return!
Enjoyed the cabin very much. Extremely clean and nicely furnished. The view was wonderful and very close to the park. Especially enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. Special bonus that we saw a bear!
Perfect place to access all of the surrounding cities and be able to come and unwind after a busy day. Wish we would have had longer and plan on coming back soon! Beautiful Place
My wife and I enjoyed this chalet very much. It has fantastic mountaintop views. Everything was clean and details were payed attention to. Hosts were engaged with us before and during stay to ensure our trip was to our satisfaction
If you are looking for a place to stay while visiting the Park and surrounding areas, you would be very hard pressed to find a better or more ideal spot than this one. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, the hosts were quick to respond to any questions, and any amenity that you would reasonably expect to have was provided. I will absolutely look to stay here again with family in the future. 5 stars, zero complaints.
We had a great time, really beautiful property and amazing views. This was our first trip to the Smokey’s and felt like this was the perfect location. Quick drive down the mountain to local shops for ice cream, coffee, pizza, beer, etc. we wanted to relax and not have all the busy-ness of the area Immediately surrounding us and this definitely checked the box. Short drives to gatlinburg, cades cove, etc. will be back!
The property is in a great location near the Smoky Mountains National Park. It’s also a short drive from other nearby attractions. The unit was clean and comfortable, with good outdoor space to relax at the end of the day. Would go again.
Great Lodge with Amazing Views and Perfect Location
The lodge was as described, well maintained, very clean, perfectly equipped and location was good for the national park access.
With a good mix of local restaurants near by to get breakfast before starting a day of exploring.
Views from the lodge across the valley were amazing, especially enjoying a coffee particularly impressive at sunrise.
Would highly recommend to any family wishing to have a private lodge with its own driveway and no direct neighbours.
Comms with hosts before and during stay were timely and very informative.
My mom and I absolutely loved the location, view and privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on all of the decks, and viewing gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. We got to see a family of black bears as well from the deck which was definitely a highlight for us. We enjoyed shopping in the Village downtown and hiked Laurel Falls Hike. Highly recommend this cabin, can’t beat the combination of privacy and convenience.
This place truly checked every box. It’s very close to a small town to venture into for groceries/dinner/coffee, but also located in a very secluded area where you feel like you’re the only house on the mountain. We got lots of wildlife visits- birds, bears, bobcat. It’s a short drive to the park. It also has a very long, secluded hiking trail that starts in the backyard and leads all the way into the National Park, which i think, is an under sold feature of the cabin. The property itself was very clean and spacious and had plenty of games/activities for a rainy day.
We are very thankful we found this place and will stay here again.
My wife and two teenage children spent five nights at this amazing cabin. Everything was as advertised. We especially loved the private access to the Smoky Mountain hiking trails where our MN family was able to avoid the large crowds of people. The hot tub was just what we needed to give our muscles some recovery time. The amenities within the cabin and communication by the owners was top notch. We would definitely stay here again when our paths lead us back to Tennessee and the Great Smokies! In the meantime we’ll miss the sunrises & sunsets from the deck.
As we arrived to the cabin and parked, we knew at this moment that we picked the perfect cabin. As we get inside we noticed right away that the cabin was clean and well decorated. During or stay we enjoyed playing the games and going on the private trail. The trail was steep, but I’m a not an experienced hiker and I had no trouble on the trail. We did experience hot water difficulties, but when I sent a message to the owners with this problem they responded immediately. They sent someone out and fixed the problem in a very timely manner. Over all this was a wonderful experience and stay. I recommend this place to anyone that’s looking for a perfect cabin.
Everything about this cabin rental was exactly what we were hoping for. Super clean, comfy beds, well stocked with towels/cookware/dishes/extra blankets, etc. If you’re looking for a gorgeous getaway for some unplugged family time, this is the spot for you. The time my family spent here was so special. The kids were really looking forward a bear sighting and we saw 4! The bear safety information the hosts provided was so helpful and made us feel very comfortable upon arrival. In general, the hosts were great…informative and responsive. The cabin itself is a little slice of heaven. I’ve never seen views like this. Stunning is an understatement. As described, the location is so private and well maintained. We had such a great time here. 10/10 all around!!
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful week at this property. The cabin was very clean and had everything necessary to make the stay cozy and comfortable. The hosts provided great information about the area upon check-in. We were able to have groceries delivered right to the cabin via Instacart, which was super convenient. It has all the comforts of home, but you wake up to beautiful views every day. Definitely plan on coming back in the future. The checkout process was also seamless and not unreasonable. There wasn’t a laundry list of things to do before checkout which we appreciated. Overall, we had a five-star experience. I would definitely recommend staying here. It was great for just my boyfriend and I, but it’s spacious enough where it would be great for multiple couples as well. Each floor has a bed and bathroom and provides the perfect amount of privacy. I don’t have anything negative to say about this property. We loved it!
I am so happy we found this awesome cabin in Wears Valley. First of all, it is beautiful! It is clean, and roomy for all your guests. I love all the little details, which made the cabin feel so homey and unique. Everything was just as described, if not better. Everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. From the shampoo to body wash, they had to covered. (I would also love to know what kind of shampoo & conditioner were in the dispensers as it was amazing).
As if this cabin wasn't great enough on it's own, the views were spectacular! I couldn't have asked for a better view all the way around. Finally, they actually have a secret trail that leads you right into the smoky mountains, for your own unique adventure.
Did I mention the downstairs game room? Amazing! From the old school arcade games, to the couch & bench with removable tv trays, you couldn't ask for a better place to hang out & enjoy the view.
I highly recommend this cabin to anyone that wants everything they are looking for all in one!
Every September my wife and I come to the Smoky Mountains to celebrate our anniversary. It's a time for us to reflect, reconnect, and refresh. We enjoy avoiding the crowds of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg by spending time in Wears Valley and the National Park.
The experience we had in this cabin was magical! Our hosts were wonderful to work with and supported our stay with loads of information and communication before, during, and after our stay. They have gone to great lengths to make sure their guests have everything they may need during their stay. We enjoyed playing cornhole, using the hot tub after long days of hiking, and cooking most of our food in the kitchen instead of dining out. The kitchen has everything one might need to make most dishes, there is both a Keurig and drip coffee maker, and the appliances are all up to date.
THE VIEW IS AMAZING! I have stayed in a few places in the area, but the view here raises the bar significantly. Every evening during our stay ended with us in the hot tub and staring at the view in awe. Having breakfast on the balcony is the only way I want to start every day of my life now. Watching the clouds move and change color as the sun rises over the mountains was truly breathtaking to the point of tears.
My favorite part of this cabin is the ease of access to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is literally a 5 minute drive to Metcalf Bottoms in the park via the "secret entrance" in Wears Valley and makes coming and goi
Was just an overall great stay!!!! Great hosts, clean cabin, perfect size. Nothing much to complain about. We had a fantastic trip and would stay here again.
