Santiago basics
Beautiful old landmark townhouse converted to B&B. Super-friendly service. Raoul, the owner, speaks excellent English. Great location near subway and lots of restaurants.

Deceitful marketing and unscrupulous practices
Arrived at designated address and was walked around the corner to a different property that was being remodeled. After placing things in room we walked back to principal property where they refused to accept the agreed upon hotels.com price.I showed them reservation which they acknowledged but they insisted that was the cash-only price. Having just arrived I had no cash so got shanked into paying additional CC processing fee and 19% tax despite hotels "Total to be charged by hotel..." statement. No breakfast was served. I'm planning to post pictures of dining area at 9:00 and non-living area. The furniture remained pushed into center of room and covered with plastic for the diary. There was no promised "lanai" or climate control. When speaking on the phone with the manager he explained that they "just couldn't accept less than they were offering it to me..." and that's why I was responsible for their direct costs - never mind that they dropped the listed price later that same day. Overcharged 27%, non-negotiable.

Crampy rooms!
Located close to one of the main avenues and can boast of a very friendly group of staff. However the room was way too small and there was absolutely no space left for movement with bed in the room!

Nice hotel in a good neighborhood!
The location of the property is pretty good, less than a 5 minute walk from the Santiago metro as well as the Avenida Alameda. However the room was pretty small and left us with almost no room for movement after keeping our luggage. The hosts, Veronica and Raul were both extremely helpful!

Good people, average place, nice neighborhood.
Raul, the had been easy to contact and responded right away to my emails, unlike other hostals that you can communicate only through the booking agency. Veronica had been so kind to give a blanket to my wife--we arrived very early in the morning so she had to accommodate us in the sofa at the living room while waiting for our room to be vacated by the previous renter.

La que nos recibió tuvo una actitud muy pesada ya que se rió de nosotros de forma burlesca. Nos querían cobrar un porcentaje más aparte de lo que decía la página (donde decía que estaba incluido impuestos y demás) aún pagando en efectivo. Perdimos una hora esperando respuesta y más encima no dieron ninguna solución. Pésima experiencia

Destaco la ubicación, cercana a metro y en buen sector. Lo malo que encontre es que indican baño privado y el baño en cuestion esta fuera de la habitación, y ni siquiera al lado sino que se encuentra lejos. Y lo otro que podrían mejorar es la limpieza y el orden de la cocina ( habia un colchon) Y la vista por la ventana hacia un patio interior estaba sucio con heces de palomas .

Quand nous sommes arrivés on a commencé par nous faire payer. Ensuite seulement on nous amené à ce qui devait être une chambre de 12 m2 . La stupeur une chambre d'environ 5 m2. Là devant mon refus le ton monte "vous pouvez avoir une autre chambre mais le prix est de 12€ de plus. Je demande à être rembourser "pas possible vous avez payé par CB. Finalement contraint forcé nous acceptons une chambre "plus grosse". La N°3 faisait 6m2 + 2m2 de SDB. En fait un placard voir photos jointes Rien à voir avec la photo de la chambre proposée sur Hotel.com. C'est scandaleux. Pour l'anecdote le matin pour les petits déjeuners on nous amène 2 plateau qu'on ne peut que poser sur le lit, il aurait fallu nous mettre sur le lit avec les plateaux, risible tellement c'était grotesque et ridicule. finalement on nous met au salon pour déjeuner. J'ai 77 ans je voyage beaucoup ne n'ai jamais vécu une situation pareille. les hôteliers peuvent mettre n'importe qui sur leur site.

Hay cosas que podrían ser mucho mejores, un baño no funciona bien, no tiene tapa, cama incómoda, baño sin jabón, puerta del dormitorio no se cerraba fácilmente, solo poniendo llave. Estas cosas son detalles que marcan la diferencia en la estadía.

La habitación era cómoda y amplia. Es una construcción bien antigua pero cumple la función. A unas 5 cuadras del metro y cercano a pub, restoranes, co-work, otros. Considerar que al valor de la habitación hay que agregarle el IVA (19%)
