Right in the centre of things of interest in Kyoto, we were able to walk or ride a bus everywhere. The guesthouse was brand new, and rather un-noticeable from outside. The room was as advertised size-wise and with insufficient facilities for a longer stay. The beds were really comfortable and we had very good sleep the whole 5 nights, and the bathroom exceeded expectations, very Japanese, high tech, functional and proportionally seemed more spacious than the room. The hostess was very helpful...

We are at this Machiya on our recent holiday to Kyoto. The host Yuki introduced the place to us and we got to make macha together.
It was a lovely place to stay and the outdoor bath was really nice especially as it is winter time now. It is located near Kyoto station and Gojo station. We also had the traditional breakfast which was delicious. Overall we were glad we picked this place for our stay at Kyoto and would highly recommend it!!

This was not just a room for 4 but a fantastic experience. We were greeted with a tea ceremony and wonderful service. The futons are extremely comfortable and the outside bath infused with tea is extremely relaxing. We were also provided with traditional pajamas and I recommend the traditional BBQ breakfast with fish and vegetables.

Everything was well organised, from the location of the check in office near the train station, to the check in procedure, to the facilities at the vacation property and inside the apartment.
