"I was charged over £100 extra at check-in for two days parking and having two dogs in the room. This was not mentioned when I booked, but I had no other option. Car park is not secure and was filthy and was full of rubbish, bins overflowing etc. there was also a dead rat in the parking space at the front door. Won't be back."

"Stayed here the past few years for crufts. This year was by far the most expensive. Some of the staff were busy doing not a lot, ie putting glasses away instead of serving the large queue of people waiting. We asked if we could take food to the room as we had our dog and was told no and then the staff member behind that staff member said yes they can take food up to the room. I paid (a lot) extra for continental breakfast which wasn’t ‘proper’ breakfast, it was a small tin of Pringles on 1 day only, a mini fridge, a coffee machine & condiments. Upon arrival I had to pay more for breakfast… I also had to pay £30 per night for my dog or leave him in my car. It’s not clear that I had to pay extra for him. The room is fine, clean and the chamber staff are lovely. The room was scorching and the climate control is controlled by the hotel. We followed the instructions for if the room was too warm which was basically open the window (minimal as we were on the 6th floor) and the fan provided was useless, I can blow harder than it blew out air. We won’t be staying next year, it’ll be one of the other hotels which is a shame as we’ve enjoyed our stays previously. "

"Good value hotel which is upgrading the rooms at the moment. Our room had obviously been recently renovated and was brilliant with everything you would want from a small hotel room. Great shower/ all modern sockets with usb/ good tv with internet connection/ air conditioning which was very good. The bar area really needs some attention with ripped seats and scared walls where old air conditioners have been removed but it does look like work is being done all over the hotel to update and improve all facilities while still being open for business. All in all a solid 8.5 out of 10 for the price."

"Location is premium! Very close to the train station in town, and has many large shopping malls around that area. Chinatown is just across the street that has lots of good restaurants! Unfortunately, all restaurants in the mall close early! The property is old, but well-maintained and clean. Wi-Fi speed is slow!"
