Beverly is a fantastic innkeeper - friendly and knowledgeable. Property is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was terrific. The town of Melbourne is amazing. Very close to major attractions.
Lovely host, cosy room, and a good breakfast. We visited on a freezing cold weekend in December, our room was warm on arrival and the super king sized bed and duvet made for a very comfortable night's sleep.
Stayed here before a track event at Donington and honestly it is one of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed in. Beverley is a wonderful host and from the moment she greeted us was full of advice, and tips to make our stay more comfortable. The bed was so comfortable I crashed out and didn’t stir at all. As others have stated everywhere was immaculately clean.
The host was PHENOMENAL. Such a beautiful soul who clearly cares a lot about the people she crosses paths with. The room was a good size and clean. There were no issues with noise either from within or right outside the property for the two nights I stayed. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. The bed was comfortable enough and I was pleased to see all the eco-friendly toiletries. The bus to Derby station is on the doorstep with other nearby towns easily accessible from the Market stop a short walk away.
We had a lovely stay at the Coach House. The owner, Bev, was so helpful and attentive.
We had a double ensuite bedroom which was very spacious and clean. The bed was massive and really comfortable. There were lots of options for breakfast, we had a fully cooked and it was delicious.
We were attending an event at Donnington Park which os only a couple of miles away and really easy to get to.
The only thing to alert anyone to is that the stairs to the upstairs room are very steep, so care is needed when ascending and descending, but there are bedrooms downstairs so you could easily be accommodated there if stairs were an issue.
All in all a fantastic stay which was well worth the money.
Have stayed before so knew that we would be getting a perfect stay again.
The biggest most comfortable bed ever.
The room is full of little extras which make it that bit special.
Nothing is too much trouble for the host.
My son and I stayed at the Coach House for one night on our way to an interview in Derby, and were delighted with our choice. Beverley rang on the day of our journey to check on our arrival time so that she could make sure she would be there to greet us personally. When we arrived, she showed us around the House and gave us a few ideas of things to do and places to eat in Melbourne, but after a five-hour drive we felt too tired to go out again, and as there was a microwave available for guests to use, opted for a quick walk up the road to the supermarket and then a lazy evening in! Our room was recently decorated, spacious and well equipped, with plenty of teabags, biscuits, etc. provided on the in-room tray and more than enough toiletries in the sparkling clean bathroom. Given the reason for our trip to Derby, a good night's sleep was essential so we were pleased when we saw how comfortable the beds were! Next morning, the cooked breakfast was delicious, copious and served in a bright dining room looking out over the central yard away from the main road. Everything about our stay was perfect. We left well-rested and relaxed, and if we are fortunate enough to travel to the region again, will definitely choose The Coach House.
Very friendly welcome, small issue getting there with road works nearby, owner directed us on the phone and came out to wave. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast only thing that was a bit tricky was very small car park so had to do a very slow 'n point turn' to get out and note that the stairs maybe a little step for some people with health issues, fine for us, otherwise a lovely place and we enjoyed our visit
