"The balcony views are beautiful. Our room overlooked the dock area and was very quiet. My only concern about the entire property was the tile. The wet tile was very slick, and 100% of the indoor and outdoor floor was tile. Be careful."

"We had a great time in off season. The property was clean and service was great. Ac was very cold. I love the beds and lounging. Plenty of access to towels. I loved that the food in buffets were closed off for bugs. Because it was off season it wasn’t crowded and very pleasant. The water is beautiful with many fish to see. It was so warm and clear. Pool service was fantastic. Aaron was great. The seafood restaurant had some of the best food I’ve had at an all inclusive. Taxi ride to downtown was about $15 and 10 minutes. Plenty of seats and towels. Cons: Kids club didn’t open until 12. The buffet wasn’t open at night but you need a reservation to the restaurants. The Mexican restaurant was great but we did not like the Asian. When checking out the elevator was broken. We were on the 6th floor. I traveled with 3 kids solo and had several bags and a stroller and no one would answer the phone for help. The spa amenities do not come with service when you book. I’ve never been to a resort that doesn’t let you use the hot tub or sauna if you book a service. We all had massages and weren’t allowed to use the amenities."

"Myself and one other buddy stayed 4 day weekend 4sept2025 to 7sept2025 on a diving trip. We arrived around 1500 and had a evening/night dive we had to be at for 1700 and had a few things we needed to take care of before heading that way and were not sure we were going to have enough time. But the guys at the front desk help us with everything. checked in, in literally 5 minutes, we wanted to go somewhere to rent scooters we used before but was 20 min up the road really didnt have the time, he said he had a guy that would deliver to us in 15 min with good price. The scooter ended up being delivered in 10 min and daily price was better than expected and scooters were excellent condition. The hotel has some age to it, but very well maintained and loved all the wood features. You can tell the manager takes pride in appearance. We got 2nd floor 2 full size beds balcony with garden view. We did not spend much time in the room at all we were on the go the whole trip, so all you can pray for at an older hotel such as this is a good AC, we ended up having an AC unit that must have been pulling air from antartica, It froze us out in a good way. So I give it five stars just for that. The mattresses could have been a little more comfortable but we were so tired it didnt matter. Sheet very clean changed daily, room cleaned very well, bathroom no issues. For the price, location, cleanliness, staff it is hard to beat. Also added on breakfast, its worth it, opens at 0700. good vibes"

"We have stayed at 3 different properties in Cozumel. Park Royal: nice room but terrible food. Hotel Cozumel: room was dated but comfortable and Good Food. El CID: The best! The room was clean and comfortable. The food was great (I always stick to fish, chicken, or pork in Mexico as a rule, no beef.) Every plate of food I had was fantastic. The service was great. Bed was comfy and the snorkeling was fantastic! I highly recommend El CID. "
