"We really enjoyed our weekend here. Quiet and secluded, but still very close to Grand Marais. A path just outside accesses a whole network of trails, we hiked to Pincushion Mountain. And the SHT connects here as well if you want to go further. The furnishings are simple in a very nice way; a folding table with two folding chairs, an electric kettle and a mini fridge are great for morning coffee or simple meals. The only thing we would have changed would be trading the two twin beds for a single 2-person bed, but that's preference. Great place, will stay again."

"I was very nervous after reading the reviews but we had a great stay. It's nothing fancy but the staff was great, the room had a beautiful view and it served its purpose. This location alone is worth the price we paid, which you're not going to find cheaper in Grand Marais. I mean, you're next door to World's Greatest Doughnuts! Maybe we just got lucky with our specific room but I think alot of the people in these reviews expected a 5 Star resort and just love to complain, but you get what you pay for! I would stay again! "

"This cabin was close to Grand Marais but far enough away that it was a great, quiet place to come back to after a day of sight seeing. Included a small kitchen with everything we needed to cook some meals. Living room, bathroom, and bedroom all on the same level. Nice screened windows on a porch on 2 sides -- was a great place to sit and read. Nice deck. And a GREAT outdoor shower! Ralph was a great host! I think the surroundings and the quiet made this a great place to stay. Thank you Ralph!"
