Comfortable beds, AC in the bedrooms and Wi-Fi worked fine.lovely The spacious lanai was lovelyso that we could have pouring rain and sit in absolute comfort, looking at the ocean waves. Great beaches to swim and snorkel and play within walking distance and a very short drive to the Hilo airport. We loved watching Kai the Koi in the pond and enjoying the incredible pleasure of staying at this home! The host was extremely helpful and we had everything we needed! I may have also fallen in love with the walk-in shower: big and beautiful with instant hot water! We all love the place. The street in front of the house is busy and there are folks who party on nearby beaches. So if quiet is essential for you, then this location could be problematic. For us, it met our needs perfectly and we highly recommend it!!!"

"An old building, but a clean, well furnished two-bedroom unit. The location is excellent, even has a direct entrance to Carlsmith Park, great location for snorkeling, with many fish and even turtles, including a very large one that must weigh-in at 200 pounds. All dealings with the host were clear and informative. I enjoyed Hilo and the surrounding sights. Better restaurants than Maui since they need the return business of the locals. I was even able to use my YoutubeTV and AppleTV accounts on the smart TV."

"My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights with our 3 kids- ages 7, 9, &11. There was plenty of room for all of us, very well appointed, had everything we needed and the beach supplies were a nice bonus! Having the beach park right next door was amazing and the kids also loved the pool. This was a nice place to have as home base for seeing everything we wanted to see on the east side of the island! "
