Excellent base for exploring Iceland We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bay View Apartments. The apartment was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable after long days of exploring Iceland. Having a fully equipped kitchen, along with a washer and dryer, made our stay even more convenient and comfortable. The location is an excellent starting point for discovering the Reykjanes Peninsula and the rest of Iceland, while still being close to the airport....

The location was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was great but there were quite a lot of steps to get to our room. Also, tea bags were provided but no kettle to boil water. Minor details in an otherwise very nice hotel.

Good

Felt like a luxury stay. Great location and staff!

Really glad we stayed here. Check in was a breeze. Room was large and modern and comfortable. Had a kitchenette and complimentary milk, juice, cereal, tea/coffee. Hotel is easy for tour bus pick up. Dining and shopping is only a few meters away. Close and walkable to downtown central Reykjavik. Would highly recommend and stay again.

Beautiful hotel, great location, lovely helpful staff. Bed was very comfortable. Restaurant has delicious breakfast and dinner. Staff very aware about coeliac and cross contamination.

fabulous Hotel in the heart of the city...many dining options nearby.

Such good hospitality, loved staying here. We had a car so getting around was easy. The staff are so lovely to talk to and they recommended some great places to eat. The room is small but the bed is so comfy, one of the best sleeps I had.

Lovely remote location but close to the airport. Appreciated the breakfast box.

Welcoming helpful friendly. Historic place well sited for walking and tours. The breakfast was amazing. Hosts very obliging.Suggestions locating a taxi. Unique stay.Loved it.

We have just stayed at the stunning Blue Mountain Apartments. Everything was wonderful. The view from our loungeoom and bedroom looking over the amazing blue mountains was breathtaking. The apartment was spotless, modern and comfortable. The thing that makes this hotel so great is the amazing Johanna. From the beginning we were treated to fantastic Icelandic hospitality. Nothing was too much to ensure that our stay in was perfect. Her knowledge of Icelandic tourism and culture is unrivalled....

My stay here was amazing!! Would fully recommend it - the view is mesmerising by day and night - I didn’t want to leave the room!! The toiletries smell beautiful and the design is beautiful- it just felt so luxurious. It’s an easy walk to where everything is at - I just couldn’t fault it. Don’t expect hotel facilities cos it’s not. They don’t have a gym, a pool or a laundry.

We loved our stay here. We stayed 3 nights in May 2026. It is on the marina with beautiful views. It’s a shirt walk to lots of local cafes and eateries and around 10-15 mins to the centre of Reykjavik for shopping and bars. Just a 5 minute walk from bus stop 4 which is where we got picked up for tours and the airport. Would highly recommend!

Helpful staff. Great location. Nice rooms

This hotel offers a superb location for anyone visiting Reykjavik. The bed was very comfortable along with the pillows. The room was well appointed and the staff couldn't do enough to help with any request. We could walk to a myriad of restaurants, bars, retail outlets and attractions in the immediate vicinity. The restaurant in the hotel is a must to experience local food. They also organised our airport transfer with no additional charge so no need to pre book anything.

Staff at this hotel are outstanding. They are very friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much for them
