Very nice studio apartment in the city center

  • Cozy and very nice studio apartment in the center of Reykjavík.
    The studio is a converted garage and can fit two people with two single beds placed side by side. The kitchen has everything that you need for basic cooking and there is a small bathroom with a shower. Free WiFi and free parking in the street. Nice garden. BSÍ the Bus Terminal is only in 12-15 min walking distance from the apartment.

    If you like visiting galleries, historic buildings, museums, going to the theatre or visiting good restaurants and bars, this is the perfect place for you as is it all in a short walking distance. The studio is only 10 minutes walk to museums, galleries, restaurants, the main shopping street (Laugavegur) and to swimming pool with hot tubs (Barónstígur).

Lovely studio

Cozy warm studio in Reykjavik's winter wonderland. Very close to the old city, main streets, a nice pool. I stayed for 2 weeks, everything was lovely.

Great Experience!

Great central location to several Reykjavík landmarks and shopping. Host was great and helped when needed. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet and peaceful. The free parking is great as well. This is a once in a lifetime trip for us, but we would gladly stay here again if we could.

This was such a great place to stay. The host was easy to contact and answered all of our questions. Self check-in very smooth and easy. Perfect location in Reykjavík within a few minutes walk of the main downtown area. Free parking on the street if you have a car. I would highly recommend this place if visiting Reykjavik

Walking distance to everything. It worked well for what we needed. Only thing was the shower is super tiny and awkward to use so just be prepared for that, Nice little kitchen area. Beds comfortable and warm. The best part about this apartment is the location.

This cozy apartment was great for Wife and I. It was extremely clean and well kept. Quiet neighborhood, short walking distance to pretty much everything downtown. Highly recommend. When we come back we hope it is still renting out!! Thank you very much!!!

Comfortable stay in a great location

Mostly comfortable stay for 7 nights. We enjoyed the convenient location--easily walkable to the city center and a couple of bus stops. The bed(s) were fairly comfortable, in a firm, European way. The kitchenette was nice to have. The shower is very small, and the bathroom sink is tiny, but it was manageable. Inga was very responsive and flexible in our check-in.

Comfortable space with a great location

We stayed in Reykjavik for a week, and this place met our needs perfectly. The location is great, very close to the swimming pool and shopping and attractions. We did not have a car and walked everywhere. Everything we needed for an easy breakfast and lunch in the apartment was there. I liked that it is at street level, making it very easy to bring luggage in. It was quiet too.

Functional space nearby walkable attractions

This place was exactly what we needed. It's a studio so some may find it small of they have a crowd, but for my wife and I it was a perfect little place to stay during our time in Reykjavik. It's walking distance from the downtown attractions and in a quiet neighborhood. It's also nearby a few bus stops if that's your preferred mode of transportation.

This is a centrally located, quiet and cozy, garage conversion. Inga responded quickly and helpfully on all occasions. Street parking is available, but possibly not right outside. Limited storage for clothes, but we made it work fine for 3 days/nights.

Comfortable, convenient apartment

My partner and I stayed 2 nights here as we explored Reykjavík and the Golden Circle. The apartment was very comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood where it was easy to find free street parking right outside. The apartment was comfortable for two adults and was great value for the space and location. It's just close enough to be walkable to the rest of the city while being slightly away from the very touristy places and crowds. It's about a 10 minute walk to downtown, and about 40 minutes walk to the harbor area. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. I would stay here again!

Winter trip to Iceland

This studio is a perfect fit for two people, especially if you are not staying very long. We were only there for a few days, so it was the perfect place to stay while being right in downtown Reykjavík. If you’re looking to do tours and excursions it’s very easy to walk or get a taxi to BSI bus terminal that has bus transportation options. Otherwise the apartment is in walking distance to downtown Reykjavík. If it’s bad weather it’s quick and easy to get a taxi to anywhere in the city. If you go during winter and plan on walking a lot, I do recommend making sure you have good boots and spikes for ice, as we found in the more residential areas the streets and sidewalks were not very clear and after some of the snow melts it becomes very slippery. Overall, the apartment is in a great location, it’s clean, and is a great place to stay!

Perfect Location! CATS!!!!

This is in a converted garage, which is nice, no one beside or above you, with a big window looking out into a private yard and front windows frosted for privacy. The unit was clean and had everything you need. The bathroom is on the small side, making maneuverability challenging, but similar to other European bathrooms. The inside was bright with lots of lighting. I will say, as someone else mentioned, the beds are labeled “extra firm.” More firm than extra, but if you prefer a softer mattress these will be much stiffer. This is of course to no fault of the owner, as you can’t predict individual sleeping preferences. I slept fine, but a little stiff for my husband. I would also note the neighbors garage door can be heard clearly when opening/closing, but they never came and went at odd hours and were not a disturbance. Now, the best things. First the location. 3-4 blocks from the tail end of one of the major shopping/eating streets and near it all for exploring. Easy access from main arterials and always parking available. It was so nice to wake up in a quiet neighborhood of families. It was never loud, and we felt safe at all hours walking about. Lastly….CATS, so many cats! I had no idea Iceland had a huge love of cats, but if you’re missing yours at home, like we did, we were greeted by them daily from so many homes. So sweet and nice and well taken care of. It was definitely a highlight for us!!
