The best time to visit Old Quebec depends on what you'd like to experience, with each season offering distinct advantages.

You can easily stroll through the cobblestone streets, enjoy al fresco dining, and explore the Plains of Abraham or Dufferin Terrace overlooking the St. Lawrence River. This is a great time for couples and families due to the abundance of things to do and the comfortable temperatures.

Autumn, particularly September and October, offers stunning fall foliage, especially around the Montmorency Falls just outside the city. Spring, from April to May, sees the city emerging from winter, with melting snow and budding trees. It's a quieter time to visit, with fewer tourists and often lower prices for accommodation. Maple syrup season is in full swing, offering a taste of local traditions.
