"the bedroom was not great. very dirty and stained mattress with crumbs. walls in and around the bathroom were also stained. Receptionist was very nice and professional."

"When we arrived we asked where we should park. We were told park along the street and at the pay and display, to get a three hour free ticket. I specifically asked if that three hour ticket would be enough to get us till the free parking at night and was told yes. She was wrong."

"Very good restaurant. However, hotel building is old and does not meet my idea of a 4star hotel. Room not comfortable; no easy chairs to watch TV. Wooden floor, which was very noisy which disturbed my wife whilst sleeping. I can recommend the restaurant but the hotel is not in the same class."

"The property is lovely, although a little tired; the room was large with sofa, good storage and some strange wall hangings (think swords and battle axes!), but the bed was below par - two different beds pushed together that moved and were not very comfortable. The gym is good with a balcony that looks over the forest, and the spa was great with good massages and spa facilities. Overall, a recommend, but wish they would upgrade the bed, pillows and bedding to match to overall feeling of the hotel. "

"A lovely break - the house was pretty much as described.The pool is great - the outside eating space is fantastic and there are 3 big fridges to keep everything cold. The living accommodation is great and it really is a lovely house. Tennis court is in good nick - but bring your own racquets and balls as the stuff there is not great.Thierry - who sorts out any issues was great and really responsive. A few small negatives - the oven is pretty useless and I see that previous reviews have mentioned this - a low cost solution that would make things easier for guests. Secondly - there are no restaurants within walking distance as in the description - but some good ones a short drive away. Finally - you have to pay to use the bikes in the photos - 20 euros a bike - just so you are aware these are not included. "
