We stayed for two days in October to celebrate my 'special' Birthday. The room was sensational with the bathroom one of the best I've experienced. The pool area was spacious and very relaxing. The staff were most helpful. Lots to see in the area. A very special stay.
Beautiful hotel and property. Amazing staff went out of their way to be helpful. We had a great room in the Chateau and excellent dinner at the restaurant. Would be a good base for touring the Dordogne
This is by any definition a magnificent property and it it is so beautiful and so well managed that any criticisms feel like nit picking. The staff cannot do enough, the rooms a lovely and the property itself is unforgettable. The only complaint is that the rooms are exceedingly dark and they would do well to either provide higher wattage bulbs or install reading lights on the beds.
Spent nearly a week at this property and enjoyed every minute. Convenient to many interesting sights and activities. Room was wonderful (we stayed in the main house) and the service was great. If I ever get back to this part of France I would stay here again.
Staff at the site were very helpful and courteous, especially Michel who helped us out a lot when we first arrived at the site. Place was very nice would definitely stay there again.
The rooms we got wasn't in the main Chateau, maybe because family of 5 we got the cabin looking room with the loft, the rooms are very new, clean and spacious. The front desk staff is helpful and nice!
The pool and gardens were lovely. Very disappointed in the restaurant food and we were relegated to a cafeteria-like room to eat in. You could tell the staff hated their job.
What an incredible gem. Perfect location and the setting is just beautiful. Staff helped plan a wonderful itinerary from Beynac to Lyon. Very spacious room. So relaxing. If you saw the movie Chocolat, this is about 7 minutes from the village centre.
Beautiful property. Large room and bathroom. Modern in the annexe area. Great dining. Disappointed about the bed. Very hard and flat pillow so it was uncomfortable and we had multiple bugs in our room like crickets and beattles. Otherwise amazing place to stay and relax.
We stayed in the main chateau building in a 'Luxury Double Room' which was a beautiful traditional large room and bathroom. We had the hotel breakfast as it seemed the most convenient and it was a very good selection of the usual cold and hot items. Fortunate with the weather that we could sit outside on the terrace overlooking the pool and valley in the mornings. The pool was heated and nice temperature, with plenty of sunbeds around. We used the adults only pool next to the main chateau building, but there is also the larger family pool. The Dordogne valley is a beautiful area to explore.
When we checked in, we were greeted with big smiles from Magali, the lady at the front desk. She was very considerate and helpful. The chateau room that we stayed in was lovely and the view was spectacular. The property was very well maintained. The location of the hotel was perfect as it was just a short drive away from many of the most beautiful villages in the area.
The only disappointment was the restaurant. While the food - appetizers, main courses and desserts, were all beautifully presented, the tastes were very plain and boring.
1. Arrive in the daylight! This is Deep France, so it's a little confusing to find in the dark.
2. Stay in the Chateau part of the house. Our romantic room was BEAUTIFUL and just like the photos. Our -in-laws had a family room, and it was very large!
3. You should reserve for dinner since there isn't much else if you arrive in the evening. We missed it and ended up eating pizza in a parking lot!
4. Breakfast "buffet" was impressive, both the beautiful DR setting and the variety of food. Worth the $.
5. We were there in March, so still early spring, but the pool area and grounds looked very inviting for warmer weather.
6. Excellent treatment at reception for both arrival and departure.
7. Room/beds/AWESOME shower!
We would love to return!

Wonderfully situated within the Dordogne valley with lots of chateaux and other tourist attractions to visit.
The only downside of this hotel was the same menu every evening. They usually change it once a month! Also, no assistance to gain access to their wonderful swimming pools as there were no steps to get in our out. This was commented upon when leaving and they assured us this would be brought to the attention of the management. I sincerely hope so as I was not the only one to require help to get lowered in and hauled back out!
