"Was very nice"

"We stayed 2 nights, the first room had a lot of ants so we asked them to switch the room. The other room had also ants, the third room was okay so we decided to move the room. It was 2nd floor which is no elevator. They said no other room we can use elevator but I don’t think so. Definitely not busy time. The room is ocean front but it is partially ocean front view because of the big tree. I recommend to request upper floor. I don’t think this is not a perfect location to stay in Hilo unfortunately."

"No A/C in the room. No elevator for a three story hotel. This hotel is very old and has a lot of homeless in the area. the room was clean and we did have a nice view. you hear the jet planes because you have to open the windows to keep the place cool. Nothing is really walking distance for food or shopping. Recommend Ken's pancake house for good local grinds! (3rd floor facing the pool)"

"The property has a very good location in Hilo with an easy drive to the Volcanoes National Park and other interesting areas. It offers good privacy; however, this area could be noisy at night due to proximity to two main Hilo streets. The interior of the apartment was very clean on the arrival as were towels and bed sheets. I cannot say the same about some kitchen appliances that need either major scrubbing or replacement (rust). The listing on Orbitz included iron and board, and washer and dryer. None of these were on site and there was no information how to access them. I could not retrieve messages sent to me by host through Orbitz. If one arrives after sunset, it is difficult to find the right house. There are 3 similar large houses. Two of them have clearly visible numbers on the front sides. This unit has a number on the side of the house, but it is not lit at night, and it is obstructed by a large utility truck parking on that side of the building. It would be very helpful to add the unit number on the front wall or door. I was guessing the unit number based on Google Maps."
