"Amazing on- the- water location, beautiful landscape,, trees like I have never seen before. As in most hotels of this erta, the bathrooms could be re-done but were clean and serviceable. If I remember right, the shower curtain was hung too high, allowing water to ecape to the floor every time the shower was used."

"I loved staying at Maggie’s studio in Hilo. It was really clean and spacious. There were plenty of parking and I like the usage of having a kitchen and the convenience of a washer and dryer. I would come back and stay here again the next time I’m back at the big island. "

"Unfortunately, our stay was seriously affected by a persistent noise issue. There was a constant metallic banging sound coming from above the entrance-side room, almost every second, and the high ceiling made it even louder. Even with earplugs, it was very difficult to sleep. The noise continued and seemed to get worse during the stay. It also affected another room, as my colleague was woken up by the same noise and had to use earplugs as well. This confirmed that it was not just personal sensitivity, but a real issue affecting proper rest. We reported the problem, but felt it was not taken seriously. The response was that “people sleep differently,” and moving rooms was treated as our personal request rather than a response to a serious problem. Because of this, I had to stay somewhere else after the second day.The room layout was also very strange. The main entrance opens directly into one of the rooms instead of a normal living room or entry area. It felt like the room had been converted from an entrance compartment, which made it less comfortable and private.Considering the unresolved noise, unusual layout, and the need to find another place to sleep, this property was not worth the money for us."

"The house was perfect for our stay in Hilo! Near grocery stores, several shops, and local sights. The house was very clean and spacious. We were especially grateful for the AC and laundry room. Maggie was very quick in responding to our questions. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Hilo!"
