"I’d like to start by explaining why I gave this stay a 4-star review. Unfortunately, we did encounter roaches—there were some in the bathroom and one on the bedroom wall. We didn’t notice them our first night, but by the second night, they had appeared. I also noticed that we were staying in the older part of the building. Since it was my first time staying there, I wasn’t aware that there was a newer, nicer section or that it might have been an option. Since we were only there for two nights, I didn’t make a big deal about it and simply mentioned it to the very nice lady at the checkout counter. There was also an older gentleman working at the bar who was a bit rude. Maybe he was just having a bad morning, but everyone else we interacted with was nice for the most part. That being said, the location was great! There are two pools and easy access to the beach, which were definite highlights. We didn’t eat at the resort, so I can’t comment on the food. I would definitely stay here again, but next time I would specifically ask to stay on the newer side of the property. Hopefully, that section doesn’t have the same issue with roaches. One thing I really appreciated was how they handled my friend’s forgotten ID. She left it in the room safe, and since we have a friend who lives in the area, we asked her to stop by and see if she could retrieve it. The staff actually gave it to her, which meant a lot to us and showed a level of trust and helpfulness that I really appreciate"

"We loved every thing accept the daytime music around the pool area is horrible. Would love to hear some good Mexican music. No rap or drums please!activities are not for the very elderly. Nighttime shows are the same for many years."

"The staff were so incredible. We loved everyone here. Our room wasn’t the cleanest and there did seem to be an ant problem but we did not bring it to the staffs attention. It didn’t impact our stay much but that’s why we gave lower scores in those areas. Aside from that we will most definitely be returning. We had a blast."

"Bellview is absolutely excellent! Front desk - Emanuel is friendly, helpful and kind. The view is amazing from anywhere you stand. We had a patio to drink our coffee in the morning and sip our tequila in the evening. It was not crowded this time of year so we had the whole place to our selves. The pool has a view of the ocean and church towers. We received a free welcome juice. The Capella restaurant is beautiful and dinner was very good. Strolling violinists added to the dinner. Our room had free coffee and water. Mini fridge was stocked if desired. Add breakfast to your booking because it is complete with fruit, fresh juices, pan cakes, meat, eggs and coffee. It was amazing!!!! We feel in love with this small boutique hotel in city center near the church and malecón."
