I've stayed in a lot of budget hotels and hostels overseas. This one was by far the most disappointing. The room looked like it had been neglected for decades. There were no lights over the bed, though the wires were there coming out of the wall. The AC worked, but the control knobs did not . . . so on was all you got. There was no shower head (but there was hot water, so that's a plus). The lock on the door was loose, so I could shift it around with my hand.
That said, the staff was friendly and helpful.
The $2 airport shuttle ride was a success and much cheaper than a $30 taxi.
Expedia offered this room at one price, but somewhere in the process of booking, the price went up $3 . . . that's not much, but it was disappointing to think I was getting it for one price and it turned out to be something different.
