Allegro Cozumel All Inclusive

"Allegro Cozumel: The Good, The Bad, & The Indifferent Cozumel veterans with 13+ combined visits, we returned after a decade away with our kids in tow and chose Allegro based on its reputation as one of the island's better all-inclusives. The beach lived up to the billing — best resort beach on the island, well-staffed and beautifully shaded. The bar staff was equally impressive: attentive, skilled, and fast. The restaurant reservation system, however, was a disaster. An undisclosed premier/premium tier locks standard guests out of prime reservation slots, and you're limited to one reservation per three days. Nobody offered us the upgrade — which we likely would have purchased. The one meal we did get was underwhelming, the check-in process was long and disorganized, one room lacked hot water for two days, and the snack buffet on arrival was borderline indefensible. On the neutral side: the grounds are gorgeous but marred by the still-unaddressed remains of a Kids' Club fire from 2022. Breakfast was passable, lunch forgettable, and our room wasn't configured as booked. Cozumel delivered, as it always does. Allegro, unfortunately, did not."

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

"Nice resort with very friendly & helpful staff. We had a medical situation & Samuel helped us which we greatly appreciated. Everyone was super friendly & eager to make sure we had an enjoyable vacation. The grounds are pretty but the pools were in need of cleaning. The buffet did not have a lot of options so that was a little bit disappointing but there are several restaurants on the resort to choose from. The restaurants alternative days they are closed so make sure you pay attention to that schedule & get to dinner when they open, otherwise expect a wait. The beach is sandy but beware as the water is mostly coral so it can be very tricky getting in & out, definitely recommend water shoes. The water was beautiful! They are remodeling the resort in between Dreams & Secrets so there was a lot of construction noise while laying on the beach. We stayed in building 34 at Dreams so we did not hear it from our room. We just had to walk down the beach to Secrets to enjoy some peace on the beach. They have free kayaking for 30 mins, a fun bar with swings, nightly activities & a club that never had anyone In it. Overall it was a good experience"

"The property was amazing. I did not enjoy the food as much as other properties we have stayed at. We did not get to eat at any of the main restaurants on the property due to having to have long pants for dinner. And a large party was difficult to make reservations Very unfortunate"

"The condo is quite large and very pretty. The view from the balcony (where we sat every night) is delightful. We are ex-pats who live year round across from Cozumel in Playa del Carmen. We went over because the sargasso (seaweed) that has been seasonally plaguing the Caribbean for the past 10 years is really bad this year. WE really cannot sit on our beach - and the leeward side of Cozumel is protected from the Sargasso. That said - be advised that most of the beaches on that side of Cozumel are mostly coral and rock and difficult to access even if you are steady on your feet. It can be done - but given that we are approaching 70 we didn’t want to risk a fall - so we did not go in the water. We did use the pool which is also delightful. We did not use the hot tub on the patio, but had it been chilly at night (as it is in the winter months) I am sure we would have. It was a nice addition. The kitchen is well designed and has ample appliances/dishes/pots and pans. I would highly recommend the unit."

"Lovely home just far enough from town to be quiet and close enough for shopping. Well equipped for cooking and lots of towels. We really enjoyed the pool and the top deck. Lots of stairs.The host was great, always avaliable and responded quickly to all our inquiries."
