"Clean, period features, modern en suite, perfect location, well priced"

"Our room was very nice ( a suite ) and very well presented and clean. Staff were generally pleasant and did sort out the problems we encountered during our stay to the best of their ability. Breakfast was chaotic and not very well organised, tables not re-set, items missing and not replaced, had to keep asking for certain things. The first few days the dinner menu was poor but they then presented a better menu with more choice towards the end of our week but the website shows it differently. A superb location for the beach and walks. Unfortunately the hotel inside pool needs refurbishment so not too pleasant to swim in at the moment. Generally the hotel needs updating in certain areas."

"Nice room with balcony and distant sea view. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to enjoy some of the facilities on offer. Bathroom was pretty good with a shower over the bath. Controls were a little stiff and difficult, not at all intuitive to use but there was plenty of hot water. Bed was on the hard side but comfortable enough. My only complaint would be the distance between the bed and the wall making it difficult to get out, particularly at night. Not helped by the large picture hanging right where you need to walk, very easy to knock as you squeeze past in the dark. Dinner was a set menu and was quite good but with limited choice made even more limited on a Sunday if you did not wish to have a roast, two of the five options, fortunately we did. Breakfast was a very good hot buffet. We were certainly set up for the day. Would I stay again? Probably, yes."

"Received a friendly welcome. Staff were very helpful. Accommodation was small, but had everything I needed. It was clean and tidy. As I was staying for a week, a small fridge was installed, which was ideal. Free parking a bonus. Only downside was because it is next to the pub garden, it can be a bit noisy in the evenings. After pub hours it is quiet. The pub is an old traditional pub serving good range of beers and ciders at reasonable prices. I would definitely stay here again."

"The house was absolutely perfect for our stay. Immaculately clean, very comfortable with a beautiful garden and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was also in a perfect location for Swanage and surrounding areas. Thank you Julia for an excellent stay."

"Large, sunny 2 bedroom apartment and a short walk to the beach. Carol is a lovely, friendly host and made us feel very welcome. We were very lucky with the weather but felt the apartment would have benefitted from some fans as it became very hot and stuffy in there. The bedrooms only have blinds but they are not quite as wide as the windows. The gaps let in the morning sun and evening light from the street lights leading to a very disrupted sleep. Would definitely benefit from having heavy curtains in both bedrooms as we were woken up at around 5am on both mornings. These additions would definitely make the stay more comfortable as everything else was great 😊."

"House keeping was good. Room was small and pretty tired. Bath hand basin sink plug broken and toilet seat would not stay up. Staff polite but not very customer focused. Just did their job! Breakfast was disappointing. Advertised as ‘continental’ but fell short of what we were expecting. Parking good. Plenty of space"
