This hotel is really all about its location - the views, the beach are great. A sea view room is almost essential. Without exception the staff were very good, rooms and public area cleanliness gave no cause for complaint. However it is in need of updating, furnishings are old it is generally looking worn and could do with investment. Unfortunately this is unlikely to happen soon (or ever) as planning permission has been sought by the owners (against local protest) to demolish the hotel and build flats on the site. The restaurant overlooking the water makes the best use of the views but due to its size it lacks ambiance. Food from the alternative light dinner menu was very good, breakfast fairly typical buffet style (albeit served by counter staff behind screens) with some interesting selections. The bar area is pleasant but was not open for afternoon drinks. Indoor the spa comprises a small bubble pool, sauna and steam room, outdoors a larger pool (in the summer) and hot tub. The Jacuzzi is permanently out of action, the changing room showers are pretty poor. "Spa" is a misnomer, I'd expect more for 4 star prices. We enjoyed our stay but overall this is a good 3 star hotel but is not now 4 star accommodation and facilities.
