"Asked Expedia for an early check-in and was told it would be after three like it was supposed to be. It was very cold in Chicago and all we wanted to do is get in a room and begin the day. They promised they would call when our room is available and never ever did. So we walked around in cold Chicago waiting for the call that never ever came. Got the room at 6:30 pm and went to sleep a couple hours later. The heater didn’t work and it was freezing in the broom although they did bring blankets up and a tiny space eater the size of a shoebox. It was definitely not worth what we paid. (A Premium price) and feel a partial refund would be in order."

"Everything was great! The breakfast was hands down the best I’ve had and such a cozy experience but it’s only available on weekdays. The only con was that you have to venture out quite a bit to find breakfast on the weekends and everywhere has an +1 hour wait. I will 100% be booking again but it would have to be during the week so I could have that breakfast again."

"I loved how it was near everything , no car needed , and how convenient in the same hotel you can get snacks and drinks 24 hours. If your from New York you know we are used to having bodegas open 24 hours so not even having to step out of the hotel to get your snacks and drinks 10 out of 10 and soo safe and secure. The staff were soo loving and helpful. The only thing is when you shower , water will be on the floor so we put 1 towel to step on and not fall but nothing bad. Also other hotels only give until 10AM for checkout and this one gives you till noon 😍"

"I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The room was very old and had a strong unpleasant smell as soon as we entered. The bed was also too short and uncomfortable, making it impossible to rest properly. Because of these issues, we decided to leave after only one hour and could not continue our stay. I would not recommend this hotel."

"The best thing for me about the Palmer House Hotel is its location just steps from the Red Line El Monroe station and only a block from the Blue Line Monroe station that goes to O'Hare Airport. It is one block from a large, convenient Target, a spectacular Macy's in the old Marshall Fields building and a block from the Art Institute Museum and another block to Milleneum Park (with the "bean" sculpture). Great theaters, restaurants and sites right out the door, and a Starbucks and easy menu order/pickup store with all kinds of quick pickup options all located just steps out of the elevator. This is a convenient, lovely, interesting hotel that is my first choice when staying in the "loop" in downtown Chicago. You don't really have to even leave the hotel to have an interesting array of things to see (the ceiling in the main dining/lobby area is stunning. And, the spa is great."
