"Not sure why Salthus is only rated 2 stars but in my opinion is better than 3 stars. Clean, warm comfortable bed and room(twin) with plenty of space. Large accessible shower & toilet room. Parking at door. Fully equipped kitchen although only I only made toast. Wonderful views of sea and mountains. Great walk nearby around sea cliffs. I did not meet any staff as self check in. Only a 15 minute drive from Bluondos. Thoroughly recommended."

"For a very remote area in a very tiny town, our stay was exceptional. The food prepared in the guesthouse was excellent and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. "

"The guesthouse was lovely, well laid out with the shared kitchen, dinning area and entertainment area. Heaps of space, rooms are clean and very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and shared areas! There is a huge area on the accommodation location to explore to see sheep and Icelandic horses next to a lake! Me and my husband had a good afternoon doing that once we settled into our rooms. Would recommend to others 👍"

"Wonderful 2-week stay photographing Northern Lights and exploring the middle-north of Iceland. Excellent, comfortable, basic rooms, with a very nice shared kitchen. There's a small store across the street with gas/benzin, a moderate range of foods and supplies, and a selection of fresh fruits/vegetables. "karuna Guesthouse was one of our favorite properties. We were greeted by the owner and shown to our room. They room was SPOTLESS and large with a tea kettle, tv, full bathroom and hairdryer!! They have thought of everything! There is a free breakfast included, and also use of a kitchen. A superbly clean and wonderful place to stay!!"

"Getting to the guesthouse was a bumpy ride, be careful midway as there is a big difference in elevation, our suv most definitely hit the ground pretty hard. Other than this instance, the host was sweet and greeted me and gave me a tour for the guesthouse. The room was quaint and the facilities were clean. There is a hot tub in the back but i wasn’t able to check it out, though it wouldve been nice if I wasnt so tired. Would recommend! :)"

"Nice new facility in the lodge. Check in confusing as Hotels.com said no Check in staff, contact facility directly but gave no phone number. I emailed facility and no response. Phone call to Hotels.com the day before no help either. Had to call facility once there and staff came over but if we didn't have someone with cell service, could've been a problem. "

"The only thing negative is the listing showed “Laundry”. That usually means a laundry room that one can do there own laundry. This was you call and the family comes to get it for a fee. It’s lovely in the open country and easy to get to. "
