"I gave 4/5 instead of 5/5 due to unsatisfactory cleanliness upon arrival and a few maintenance issues - some lights not working and damage to screen door and dresser drawer. We disinfected the floor because it smelled of pet urine. The house itself was very nice. Hot tub was cleaned the day we arrived. Great view and the host was responsive to my comments."

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! By far the best house we’ve ever rented in terms of gorgeous views of the Atlantic and the Pamlico Sound from ALL windows and decks, its well-appointed kitchen, a great layout and furniture- both of which made us feel most comfortable, cleanliness, and value for the price. The layout with three of the five bedrooms on the middle level is most helpful. For those with mobility issues, having a bedroom on the third level next to the kitchen and living area is most convenient. After busy days spent at the beach and participating in myriad, fun activities, it was nice to come home, relax, and enjoy time at the (also very clean) pool, which is also well appointed with comfortable furniture. It’s an 11 on a scale of 10 for us!"

"Our family enjoyed a great week full of memories at this welcoming home. It was just right for our family of 7 adults and 5 children 6mo-10y. Beautiful oceanfront with great space for gathering in open top floor. Well stocked kitchen included everything we needed for the week. Plenty of games and puzzles, sand toys and a space under the home where the kids can play in sand if you have a rainy day . The 3 outside showers were used daily and very convenient. The beach was beautiful and not at all crowded. We will be returning to Sara’s next year!"

"This property was ideal for our family beach vacation. There were four adult couples and a teenager and the house allowed everyone to be comfortable and have privacy when wanted or join the family when desired. The layout of the common space worked very well for us. We cooked for all of our meals except a catered dinner, and the kitchen lent itself well to everything we prepared. We did bring some cooking utensils because we knew they were not available in the home, but the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies.Having the ocean right at our back doorstep was heaven, and the deck was wonderful for enjoying the view.Our host was very quick to respond to any questions or issues during the week. I can't say enough about how attentive he was, both during our stay and before it, when we bombarded him with questions. Thanks for a glorious week!"

"The house was very clean when we arrived! Although there isn’t central air, there are window units in every room making it very comfortable! We had a wonderful time! For those reading reviews for environment - BEWARE OF MOSQUITOES! Bring bug spray! The mosquitoes are prolific right now due to the rain and standing water this time of year. They will bite through your clothes."
