"Although we were just a short walk from the beach, the place was a disappointment. When we got there it was obvious the floor had not been swept or mopped; there were balls of pet hair in the corners and under tables, dirt and sand on all the floors. We were told that the cleaning crew would not be able to come so I asked if they could at least provide a cleaning solution and I would clean the floor myself. Next, the air conditioning was not working, the maintenance man had to bring in window units. In addition to those issues, we could not get the television to work and then the hot tub would not heat up. The hot tub was not fixed until our 4th day there. This meant that maintenance workers were there almost everyday, not the private and relaxing vacation we had hoped for. We ended up leaving a day early and were offered no compensation."
"We really enjoyed our stay at the comfort zone. The location was amazing, right on the beach. There is a huge wraparound deck that allowed our dog to outside but kept him contained. My favorite part was the guest house that is connected to the main space by the deck. The kids slept in there, had their own bathroom and TV, so they could play Xbox all day like normal. There’s a loft with a bed and also a sleep sofa in there. We will definitely be staying here again!"
Oceanside Retreat with Ocean Views, Hot Tub & Short Walk to the Beach
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay. The house was beautiful, extremely clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen had every appliance we could possibly need. It was extremely convenient that all towels and linens were provided and it was definitely a relief not to have to worry about it. The beach is only a matter of feet away and it was a quick walk to hours of fun! Our family had a blast!!! "
Dog-friendly oceanfront home with large deck, high-speed WiFi, washer/dryer & AC
8/10 Good
"Bottom line up front: awesome house, terrible host company (Vacasa) that nickels and dimes you.The house is a great spot, room setups are great, porch is awesome, direct private access to the beach. The downside: Vacasa is a pain. Not enough towels in the home. One dish rag. No spqre trash bags, no trash bags in the bathrooms for small trash cans. Soap/shampoo/conditioner are all completely empty. What bath towels they do have are comically small. Floors were still pretty dirty with sand and dust. Also their customer service line is not American, which is frustrating, since they have to patch questions through to their onsite person, so very slow response and telephone game answers. If you’re booking this house, bring your own trash bags. Bring your own bath towels. Don’t expect soap and shampoo (even though it’s in VRBO’s terms and conditions). Bring your own vacuum. Bring your own dishwasher detergent."
