"Our stay at the Shijo Takakura Hotel grandreverie was great! It was the most memorable room of our trip to Japan, a great design and lots of space. The stone shower and bathtub were especially luxury. The staff was incredibly attentive. It's the one place we'd immediately go again!"

"Beautiful accommodation with all the extras. In a great location, walking distance to the market & lots of places to eat. We would definitely stay here again. The only drawback was the dryer took along time to dry, but the hotel provided a clothes horse which was handy. "

"We had an amazing 3 day stay at Art Mon Zen. From the moment we arrived to leaving, the staff were exceptional and extremely attentive. Probably the best hotel stay in Japan. Overall, the room was very comfortable and relaxing after a long day visiting all the sensational sights in Kyoto. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay near the main Gion district in Kyoto."

"Very clean room, considerate staff, lovely spa and lounge. The buffet breakfast at erutan was delicious and full of different options with clear markers for allergens and dietary restrictions. Got a wonderful aromatherapy massage at the spa. Loved the cocktail/charcuterie time at the lounge, was a wonderful way to end my day during my stay. The overall aesthetic of the hotel, with the lighting and the plants was beautiful. Glad I chose this hotel for my stay."
"Myself and my partner had the most incredible stay here. Ryan our guide was so knowledgable and went out of his way to ensure we saw as many animals as possible. "
"Great hotel that’s close to Kyoto station. Close to the subway stations making it easy to get around the city. Restaurant in the hotel is amazing. Room is good. Definitely on the smaller side but pretty standard for Japan"
"The staff were very welcoming, polite and extremely friendly at all times. Our room was very clean and although some reviews stated that the rooms are usually compact, we had a room with 3 beds and it was very spacious. We had everything in the room including pyjamas and sandals provided. Good location with a 7/11 shop right infront and a coffee shop on the left (30 seconds) and a starbucks to the right, less than a minute. 5 stars for an overall review including price, comfort and satisfaction. Thank you"
