"Basic room but we had a balcony overlooking the river. We had a private room with our own bathroom. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Can't beat the location for the price. "
"The staff were so lovely, we travelled with my mum who is 91 years old and they were so great with our family. As i saw them like this with all the guests, will definitely stay again. "
"One of the most warm, welcoming hotels we've stayed in. Beautiful house and even better staff. Their master bedroom has the most phenomenal view but the smaller bedrooms are very nice and cozy and have a similar view. Highly recommend the place. "
"Iust such a perfect settling. Accommodation is very basic, but wow! Gorgeous setting, lovely staff, completely hassle free. I only initially booked for one night , finished up staying for 3, and will be back!"

"Lovely room. Keswick Suite has seperate sitting area in tower with panoramic views to the western hills.
Meals were very good and the service was excellent.
Shout out to the staff in all areas of the hotel for their friendliness and attention."
"When we stayed at Hermiston, we were made to feel very welcome. The room was immaculate and there was also a very comfortable and cosy lounge for guests to sit in as well as a garden if desired. Breakfast was cooked to order and quality and presentation was excellent."
"My wife and I spent two nights at the property in September and found it a very good base for the northern lake district. It is withing walking distance of Keswick and it is a very pleasant walk through the fields, so no need to move the car and search for parking in Keswick. Portinscale is a very pretty and quiet little village, with one nice pub. Craig and Clare were perfect hosts, very informative and friendly. Our only regret is that we should have stayed at least one more day."
"Stayed two nights and couldn’t fault it. Had a lovely big room with a wonderful view.
Staff are so friendly and beyond helpful.
Thanks for making our weekend so amazing "
"Excellent location for our walking experience.
The breakfasts were lovely, the rooms clean and the staff attentive. For us it ticked all the boxes! Thank you!"
A lovely property situated in the heart of Braithwaite village.
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay in Braithwaite and everything at the cottage was excellent. I wasn’t a fan of communicating via the app and being passed between different companies, but that has nothing to do with the cottage which was great. We would like to stay again! "
