"The hotel is in a quieter neighborhood of Portland close to Portland State. The facility is a bit dated albeit charming and reminiscent of dorm life and a nice pool. I think it is ideal for families visiting their college student. My stay was only a night and I wanted somewhere close to downtown with affordable parking and this fits the bill!"

"Would have rated 5 stars but parking was a nightmare. Apparently they let people from the surrounding area park there even though they aren't guests. Couldn't find any street parking so had to pay $20 in a lot. That lot expires at 5am, so had to get up at 5, move car to parking lot where luckily a spot had opened up. During that, saw a voucher in another car on the paid lot that said 'guest of Eastside lodge'. Why weren't we offered a voucher? 2 different staff people knew we were having issues. And coffee pot was empty in the morning when we checked out. The room was fine but these little things are why I can't give it a 5. Just get there early I guess."
