"We had a fantastic stay at Hoshinoya Tokyo. Having read other comments, we were prepared for the fact that this is a ryokan in a big city and not an all singing, all dancing 5 star resort. With that in mind, we had a wonderful stay embracing the "

"Really great place for our 1-night stay. Hotel was clean — even gave out free toothbrushes, razors, pyjamas, etc., for guests to use, which was helpful. Incredibly nice location in a financial / business district. Streets were pristine and calm, locals were dressed very nicely. We walked around the surrounding area which looked straight out of a movie. Not sure how close this is to any major attractions (as we left for another city the next morning) but would definitely recommend this place!"

"The staff were very helpful, excellent for non Japanese speakers looking for a good and clean hotel. My only problem with the place are the coin operated laundry, primarily the fact that tye don't do a good job at drying your clothes. Additinally, the breakfast isn't worth it at all. You're better off going to the nearby café for some food. Aside from that, everything else was great!"
