"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

"We booked this cabin for the peaceful and relaxing vibe it gave to us. The cabin was clean and everything we needed was there for us to use. Parking area was great and we loved the back gazebo area where we sat and watched the creek go by. Unfortunately, one night, we had unexpected severe weather come through due to the remnants of Hurricane Isaias, and it knocked the internet out, which left us nervous because we had no contact in or out, and the decision was made for us to leave and find a hotel for the night. The internet was still off the next day which was fine because we went to Asheville for the day. Due to the unforseen situation with the weather, and having to leave for the night, Mr Ron offered us that night as a refund. He also offered us an extended stay for free if we wanted it, but we both had to be back at work the day after checkout. He has gone above and beyond what we expected, we appreciated the way he kept in touch with us over the situation, and the courtesy and professionalism shown to us was exceptional. We want to revisit and hopefully enjoy the whole time there at the cabin."

"Stop looking….you are wasting your time looking elsewhere. This is the place you are looking for. If you want a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing place to stay….this is it. Stop scrolling. Be prepared to grill, be prepared to make your own coffee, be prepared to sit in a spa tub…be prepared to escape. Roaring Fork falls…Carolina Hemlocks…All you need is right there. And Burnsville is just a short drive away. Book it, get lost together, and you will never regret it!"
