"The stay was for a family get together, the first since Hurricane Helene. My daughter has hosted our family gatherings but she lost everything during the hurricane. This was a time to get together and check on everyone’s physical and mental health. The property served that purpose and all is well. Until we are able to rebuild her home, this is the place we will try to book and use. The host was very helpful and the rental was clean and well prepared for the guests. Thank you for making it available."

"It would be cramped for more than 2 people but the beds were very comfortable. The heat worked very well. Parking was a bit cramped and the steps (because of a lot of leaves and sticks)to the front door were a little precarious if your aren’t real careful. Perhaps the people that cleaned so well before we arrived could take them of if it’s been awhile since it’s been done. We loved it there though!"

"We loved our stay and hope to book again soon! The view was even better than the pictures.We have stayed in many VRBO homes over the years, and this one was, by far, the cleanest home we have ever stayed in.The only recommendation would be to hammer in some of the nail pops on the deck."

"This was our second stay at this beautiful home, and somehow it was even better than the first. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the most breathtaking mountain views, whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee, relaxing on the couch, or watching the sunset light up the sky, it never gets old.The home itself is the perfect mix of cozy and spacious. It was incredibly clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. We especially loved the large windows and deck area, such a peaceful place to unwind and take in the scenery.Our family had the best time here, from relaxing inside to exploring nearby and just enjoying being together. Even our pup felt right at home! It’s clear the owners put a lot of care into making this a comfortable and welcoming space.One thing to note, our older daughter was still able to get Uber Eats deliveries, which was a nice surprise in such a mountain location. With some road closures during our stay, deliveries and travel took a little longer, but everything still worked out just fine.We’re already talking about coming back again, this has officially become one of our favorite getaway spots. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and truly relaxing stay!"

The location was perfect.What really stood out was how thoughtful and responsive the owner was. "This house was perfect for our visit. I grew up in the area and this trip was to bury my dad. I spent so many hours on and in the South Toe river fishing with my dad. This trip, I spent the most time at the fire pit and on the deck enjoying the sounds and view of the river. The house was perfect for the rest of the family too. I fixed several meals in the kitchen and had everything needed. I loved several design features in the house, and I'm now considering a few of them for an upcoming remodel of my home. Communication with homeowner's representative was on point. Would definitely recommend. For future trips, we will check this home for availability first."
