"Very basic and probably better suited to sports teams and school groups which seemed to make up the majority of other travellers. Loud music played from the pub downstairs but did stop promptly at 10.30pm each night. A bit of a walk to the CBD for my office, and food options were mostly fast food. Fit out is a bit dated and tired. Will likely try somewhere else next time. "

"This is our favourite hotel in Brisbane. This time we stayed in a balcony room with a view of the river. As always, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Renovations are taking place in the restaurant downstairs, but this did not affect our stay at all as food and drinks were still being served on the top floor Eagles nest. We love that the area around the hotel is quieter than in the city, but it's just an easy walk over the new bridge to everything Brisbane has to offer. Disappointed that car parking is now charged but do understand that this may be necessary."

"Pros: Great window view; customer service prompt and courteous; buffet breakfast was more than adequate; location close to a bus hub; and the hotel is located across the street from a “Soapbox” for self-serve clothes laundering. Cons: no electrical outlet in the bathroom and was I was not given the room I paid for but I thought I had negotiated a mutually acceptable lower rate with management. To my disappointment, after I checked out, my refund was less than the negotiated amount. The hotel did not respond to my inquiry about the deficiency."
