"The property was well situated within a few minutes walk of the centre of Pembroke. Room was clean. Only problem was a noisy radiator which I pointed out to the owner and was told it was in hand (the heating had only just been put on and needed a bit of maintenance). Breakfast was good. If you go, i recommend visiting Pembroke Castle and selecting a time when there is a free guided tour…very interesting. Would stay at hotel again."

The Gower Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Helpful staff clean facilities good location. Breakfast cooked fresh to your liking parking at rear first come first served"

The Broadmead Boutique B and B

10/10 Excellent

"The Accommodation is just out of Town but only a short walk into Tenby. It’s very quiet and Gardens are well looked after, clean rooms and just a very pleasant place to be. Ample Car Parking which is a bit of a premium in such a small town. We were early checking in but this was no problem and staff showed the room. We as a couple had a very relaxed stay and fully recommend this as a great place to stay regardless if you are looking for a base to explore Wales or just for a short break enjoying the great food and drinking establishments, namely the Tap Room, HARBWR Brewery. If you’re looking at being fuelled up for a coastal walk, the Breakfast is amazing, clearly using the best local produce and cooked to perfection. You can choose what you want and the staff go out of their way to accommodate. One other recommendation, when walking back from Town, stop by the Viaduct in the Evergreen Inn, nice Pub and meet with local people. I will without doubt be coming back. Tenby has fulfilled my expectations and I look forward to exploring many more parts of Wales but Tenby is a real hotspot for a revisit. Thank you to everyone at The Broadmead Boutique B & B for a wonderful few days."

Tŷ Milford Waterfront

8/10 Good

"Room quite small. But had a great view of the watrerfront. I noticed in the bar area at the top of the big windows that look out to that great view of water.there were very big cobwebs clearly has not been cleaned for a while. Had free parking just across the road which is a bonus.so spart from the cleaning issues great stay .o snd a goid breakfast."

OYO Lamphey Hall

8/10 Good

"Excellent value stay, great location, nice facilities. The guy there this morning was very sociable and helpful. Continental Breakfast was ample and worked well despite not being particularly high quality. The shower in the room was hot, apparently endless hot water, just a bit dated but functional. I'd definitely stay again"

Llety Cynin

10/10 Excellent

"Our room was spacious with a seating area. The en-suite shower room was small but adequate with lovely hot water and upmarket products. The Welsh tapestry bedspread was perfect. The spa was a welcome find, the therapist was very experienced. The pool was large, better than average. Breakfast was tasty with good choices. The location of the hotel was perfect for our planned weekend, visiting the Welsh National Botanical Gardens and friends in the area. I would not hesitate to stay here again."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Molleston?

The best area to stay in Molleston is within the village itself or the immediate surrounding countryside, particularly for those seeking a tranquil rural escape with convenient access to Pembrokeshire's attractions.

Molleston is a small, quiet village located in the heart of the Pembrokeshire countryside. It's characterised by its traditional Welsh stone buildings, open fields, and winding country lanes. The main landmark is the Molleston Chapel, a historic building that adds to the village's peaceful character. It's an ideal base for exploring the wider region, offering a genuine sense of rural life.

This area is particularly well-suited for families looking for a relaxing holiday. You'll find a selection of holiday cottages and farm stays that provide ample space and a calm environment for children to enjoy. The village's central location means you're just a short drive from family-friendly attractions like Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, making day trips easy and convenient.

Couples seeking a quiet retreat will also appreciate Molleston. The serene surroundings are great for romantic walks, and the local pubs offer a cosy setting for an evening drink.

When is the best time to go to Molleston?

The best time to visit Molleston is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is at its warmest and driest, making it ideal for exploring the Pembrokeshire countryside and coastline.

During these months, the average daily temperature hovers around 18-20°C, and there's less rainfall compared to other times of the year. This period is superb for outdoor activities such as hiking along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, visiting local beaches like Tenby or Saundersfoot, or exploring historical sites such as Pembroke Castle. Families will find this time particularly good as the pleasant weather allows for full enjoyment of the area's many attractions, from wildlife parks to boat trips.

For those who prefer a quieter experience with fewer crowds but still good weather, late spring (May) and early autumn (September) are excellent alternatives. Temperatures are still mild, typically around 15-17°C, and there's a lovely quality of light for photography.
