The rooms are not fancy with designer fittings but that's not an issue because have everything you need: kettle, microwave, TV, tea & coffee, AC/Heating and, of course, beds. Was looking for a reasonably attractive, reasonably priced, clean and central place to stay in Portland; and found it. My room was spacious and had a comfortable bed and couch. The staff consistently cleaned the rooms immaculately. Only a couple of minutes stroll to Portland's shopping streets.

Seamless and quick process upon arrival. Greeted by friendly staff & made to feel welcome. We received updates during a stormy 24 hours during our stay. Cabin was spacious, clean throughout with good amenities. We will be back.

Beautifully decorated in period furnishings. Very homely sitting by the open fire every evening sipping port and enjoying a piece of fruit cake. Our hosts were tenative and knowledgeable of the history of Victoria House and surrounding area. A delicious full breakfast of tomatoes, eggs, sausage, bacon and toast, plus cereal if you were still hungry.
