Warm and welcoming

Historic hotel with lots of charm and character. You are made to feel you are at home with access to the parlour and the garden, sun room etc. nice touches like drinks and evening cake.

A truly exceptional place on all fronts - beautifully decorated, full of history, wonderfully clean, every need anticipated and catered for. Owners are super lovely and it really is a wonderful place yo stay. There are a good number of restaurants in walking distance.

Beautiful hotel

Amazingly beautiful hotel. Very historic, and more like a bnb then a hotel. Sherry and fruit bread in the parlor provided. Owner was very gracious. The garden was also open and delightful - went on a gnome hunt.

Nice old historical building. Has some nice sitting areas where you can read about the history of the building. Room is spacious and clean. Mandy has lots of information to share about the area.

It was a lovely place but walking in and getting a funny look from another guest wasnt a great welcome. Really close to all shops, pubs and cafes. Beds were a bit old and spongy, but otherwise a nice space.

Quaint hotel

Quaint 1853 property, recently revamped with original features. As described, this is a property with character, friendly owner, lounge area with log fire and access to a garden. Offered fruit cake and Port / Sherry upon arrival. Would recommend staying here.
