"The location is nice and quiet, away from the busy city life. The night sky here is perfect to star gaze especially with a small observatory with a telescope to see the stars. Mike, the host, is easy to contact and keep in touch with when you need anything or have any questions. The house is cozy and well maintained. We appreciated the details and signage throughout the house. The kitchen is equipped with all cooking essentials. Bear in mind that you are a decent drive away from any markets so stock up prior to arrival. It’s about an hour drive to the entrance of Yosemite but you will get to enjoy the drive along the Merced river as you approach the gates. "

"We chose this place for its excellent location: Very close to our own lot while working on it. The house is small, basically a single-wide manufactured home; but it has all the necessaries except a laundry and dishwasher which we didn’t need. It’s very clean, and the owner was very helpful and responsive to our questions. The bedroom doesn’t have its own HVAC, so we slept on the pull-out sofa in the main room. This place is good for two guests or a small fam. The lake is nearby, and it’s only 45 minutes to Sonora — an historic mining town with great shops & eateries. We will use it again, since it meets our needs perfectly, is priced fairly, and very clean with a great owner."

"We stayed here on the Easter weekend & we were really grateful coz the host is gracious & very accommodating. From the time I booked her property she was very prompt to answer my questions & even asked how we would to do our sleeping arrangements. We were a group of 11 persons & we this place sleeps 12. It’s also pet friendly so it’s the best place to stay for a weekend getaway or if you want to go to Yosemite. This beautiful property is complete with everything you will need. Rebecca, the host made sure the house is prepared, from the free water bottles, cooking oil, snacks/chips/popcorn that we can eat to even preparing Easter eggs for my daughter The wifi signal is very strong & they even have Netflix in every room too. They even installed emergency lights also. There is also a bbq grill that you can use. They also have a small pool table & other games for kids. There is even a washer & dryer that you can use too If we didn’t have originalplans to go to Yosemite, we would have just stayed inside & enjoyed all the amenities there. We really enjoyed our stay here & would love to be back next time. We highly recommend staying in this lovely Mariposa home"

"I never got the chance to enter the property. I have reserved a room from Expedia with confirmation in app and in emails. But the host friendly declined me at the door saying that they never saw my reservation. The host also friendly invited me to sleep in another room without a bed but I decided to find a hotel in this area instead."
