"We were worried about noise when we arrived, as there was a busy bar directly below us. Wow, the soundproofing was amazing! We didn't hear a thing! Right on the beach, it could not be a more perfect location. The bus stop is off the parking lot. The pool was uncrowded. The beds, super comfy. The balcony, terrific, with the added bonus of cockatoos visiting in the mornings (don't feed them!). Yes, there is construction going on, but the hours are reasonable."

"We had a lovely, relaxing one-week stay at the Mirage. The location was great — only 3km from the city centre. There are shuttle buses into Airlie Beach at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm, though it would have been nice if they also offered a later shuttle around 4pm. The buffet breakfast was simple but good. The only downside was that there weren’t many dinner options at the restaurant. Staff were lovely and friendly. Unfortunately, the room was not properly cleaned on arrival. The bathroom, shower recess, and toilet all needed a thorough clean with bleach. The rooms are also looking a little dated and could benefit from some updating."
