Downtown Mackinac Island

Step back in time on car-free City centre Mackinac Island, where Victorian charm meets lakeside beauty. The island's unique ban on motor vehicles since 1898 creates a peaceful 19th-century atmosphere. Travellers can wander through boutiques, enjoy waterfront views, or visit landmarks like Biddle House. When evening falls, gas lamps illuminate the streets for romantic strolls.

Hubbard's Annex

Step back in time while wandering the peaceful streets of Hubbard's Annex on Mackinac Island. This exclusive historic district showcases well-preserved Victorian cottages and summer homes from the late 1800s. No motorised vehicles disrupt the tranquil atmosphere of this upscale residential area. The neighborhood's tree-lined paths offer a perfect escape from tourist crowds. Crystal-clear Lake Huron peeks through gaps in the mature maples while historic wooden porches creak gently in the breeze. Just a short walk connects you to downtown's fudge shops and island attractions.

Cedar Hill Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"This was one of our best St. Ignace stays to date! So glad we chose to stay here. The room was incredibly spacious, the staff was friendly, the heated pool was INCREDIBLE (I didn’t want to leave), and the hotel had a gorgeous view of the lake. We stayed in the lodge building and had a very hotel experience, but there are more disconnected buildings you can stay in as well for that motel feel. The grounds were beautiful. The only thing that could have been better was breakfast. The food wasn’t that great and it was packed. But it’s free with the stay, so we’ll take what we can get! There is also the amazing Wild Blueberry right across the street that you can snag a delicious breakfast at if you prefer quality over price. 100% would stay here again. We came on Labor Day weekend, so it was on the pricier side, but well worth it in our opinion."
