It was great to have a balcony facing the lake--definitely worth requesting. The complimentary breakfast was fine, with juice, coffee, eggs, ham, pancakes, bread products and a waffle maker. There wasn't any tourist information in the room, so a stop at the welcome center would be useful to get information about attractions and local businesses.

This hotel was a perfect landing spot for our family as we headed to the UP. It had some dated areas but the bathroom was updated. Includes a breakfast. Front staff was excellent - THANKS Trish for your awesome recommendations! My one complaint, the side doors headed into the hallways are never locked. Beautiful views of the lake and Mackinac Island though!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Hamilton. We were only there for one night, but we will definitely be returning for our next Mackinaw adventure. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kids especially enjoyed spending time in the pool in the evening. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus and had everything we needed before heading out for the day. I highly recommend staying at the Hamilton if you’re ever in the area!

Michelle behind the desk was a fantastic caring host. She took my special needs seriously and provided a great room for us. The nicest people I have encountered yet in Mackinaw City hotel staff. Angelita in housekeeping did such a great job getting our room ready and also so personable, friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and in good condition. This was a very good choice for us.
