Loved our stay here! It was only for one night but we were made to feel very welcome, and the hotel is fabulously quirky, our room was attractive and comfortable. It’s dog friendly, which helped as we’d left ours behind on this occasion, so plenty of furry friends to make new friends with!

We had a one night stay, staff were all amazing, helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend The Stag.

The room we were in had a hole in the wall and a very uncomfortable bed. Furniture is extremely dated and has had a bad paint job done on all units. Although a new bathroom, it is very badly designed as who wants to look in the mirror/ use the vanity unit over a toilet? Also, a patron was allowed to Vape at the bar in full view of staff, and was not challenged about this. The staff however were very friendly and pleasant throughout our stay and the hotel it is an ideal location to look around Lyndhurst

Check in was easy, staff are all excellent and friendly and couldn’t do enough. The rooms are large, comfortable and well decorated. Breakfast was delicious. Great location, right on the beautiful high street. Would stay here again 🌟

Stag hotel would definitely stay again.
Great place to stay. Room clean and comfy. Staff all friendly, food good. Its on the main road so if a light sleeper i would ask for a back/side room. We had room 4, which was in 1st floor above the bar so there is noise until closing time. If you want a bit quieter ask for 2nd floor but be aware no lift. Room had fan and an extra heater. Enough room for clothes/cases.

The Stag, Lyndhurst
Stayed for 2 night with my mother and sister for a birthday celebration. Hitel rooms were well decorated and absolutely spotless. Facilities were top notch. Staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

The Stag Hotel was excellent, the food was great and tge staff were so friendly. We will be returning again soon. The room was really well maintained and the general facilities were to a very high standard. The location is also excellent for access to the New Forest, or surrounding attractions.

Very friendly staff, easy private parking at the rear of the pub. Pub next door to the Ferrari dealership so great to wander around outside & dream!! Would definitely recommend for a good base into the New Forest.

Cheap, but not great. No vegan breakfast option.
The single room I had was very small, not a great bed and staining on the walls. The shower was very small and had to turn around in. It was quiet and clean, I just wish there was more room and there was no vegan option for breakfast.

the room is advertised as a single.. and is very inexpensive. If you would like to stay again you would enjoy our larger rooms.

Property was misrepresented as being by Windsor near London. When we found out it wasn't that one we were denied the opportunity to waive the late fee. Expedia was complicit. Don't recommend either.
