We had a fantastic stay here for my partners birthday. It's in a great location within an easy walk down the pretty river to the town. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and the bed really comfy. Will definitely come back here again ☺️
A bright & comfortable guest house in a quiet residential area. Hosts very welcoming. Terrific breakfast cooked to order. A pleasant walk along a mill stream to the old town.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Phil and Ruth made me feel like I was staying with friends - super helpful and excellent service. Would definitely stay here again. Small tip: the walk to and from town is MUCH easier via the River Lim walkway than by road.
We had a lovely weekend staying here. Easy walking distance to Lyme Regis. Very warm welcome from the hosts. Very clean and comfortable room. Good value for money too.
My friend and I just spent 2 nights here when we were attending a cookery class. It was just perfect for us. The hosts Phil and Ruth were so pleasant and welcoming. their house is absolutely spotless, breakfast was good and fresh, It’s situated so there is a nice few minute walk to the sea. There really isn’t anything to fault. I would most definitely recommend staying here and I will do again if I get another opportunity to.
We enjoyed warm and friendly hospitality and excellent breakfasts.
The situation was good with a short (15 minute walk) into the centre of Lyme Regis along the pretty riverside walk.#
We had a wonderful stay here! The house is lovely and the owners were so kind, and they cooked an amazng breakfast too! They were also very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great tips about fossil hunting.

A charming place to stay in glorious Lyme Regis
The guest house was a lovely, comfortable, clean property with fabulous views over Lyme Bay. The walk down to the beach was charming (along a stream, past a working flour mill, through narrow streets lined with interesting shops and houses) although Lyme Regis is a hilly place and I found walking back up to the guest house after a long day out took a little more effort than I expected (blame my creaking joints!). I had one of the best stays anywhere, ever, in no small measure due to the friendly welcome from the hosts Ruth and Phil and their sharing of the best places to go and what to seek out (I was into fossil hunting). The wonderful breakfasts set me up for great days exploring, and I really appreciated the peace and quiet of the location when I returned back exhausted. I will definitely go back to Charnwood Guest House.
We were very happy with the accommodation. The owners were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were freshly cooked and delicious. The B&B was in walking distance of Lyme Regis.
Lovely B&B a short walk to the down town. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The decore was simple with some elegant touches. Nice breakfast options, including a full English made with locally sourced ingrediants. If I am back this way again I would definitely come back. It was good value for a person travelling solo.
