Quality accommodation in well-cared-for but still very warm and homely environment. Fantastic views and easy access to both bush and beach make Hawley House very hard to beat. "The room was nicer than my apartment. I booked the room with the jetted tub, but was given the room with a sauna. That was my only disappointment. The room was amazing. There was a full kitchen in the apartment, including a large fridge and freezer. It also had everything you could possibly need to cook a small meal. The recliners were very comfortable. The bed was extra soft and had a heated mattress. The shower was extra hot and the water pressure was perfect. I really enjoyed the towel warmer. The wifi was strong and reliable during my stay. There was a TV with streaming channels, a DVD player, and a CD player. There were also DVDs and CDs for your use in the room. There was even a CD player in the sauna. It made it extra relaxing. The owners are very nice. They allowed me to store my luggage there before check-in. They also left me some chocolates, chips, and some wine and beer for my stay. If you are ever in George Town, I highly recommend staying here. It is worth it."

"This is the second time we've visited the Low Head, George Town area and wanted to stay at the pilot station. We were not disappointed; these charming old buildings are in great condition for their age. We had trouble with the gas heater in our unit but Jodi from the kiosk came to the rescue. The bed was comfortable; the kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment and parking was onsite and close to the unit. These units are old and have some "quirky" features at times. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip. The museum is well worth a visit too, there is so much history in this part of Tasmania."
