Nightelier Devonport Gateway Hotel

Nightelier Devonport Gateway Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Warm reception from front desk staff on arrival in the early morning immediately after disembarking Spirit of Tasmania I with our car; clean and tidy room with a private jetted tub in the alluring couple-appropriate glass-design bathroom; simple but elegant room with a comfortable king-size bed and pillow menu; free secure parking within the gated property premises; reception and housekeeping staff are quick to respond to guest and provide good customer service so please be nice and kind to them; for my VIP perk, I was offered an early check-in at 1pm and a glass of Boag beer or wine for two, thank you very much; the only minor flaw I can mention is that the room appointed to us was an end-room near the utility room and had no river view; other than this, this property is a perfect choice for a comfortable and perhaps romantic stay for couples rejuvenating their relationship."

Formby Hotel

Formby Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay at the Formby. It was good value for the price. The room was clean and spacious, the parking convenient. The staff were friendly. Only one complaint was the shower which kept on going hot and cold. There is a washing machine which is great, even better would be the addition of a dryer. The downstairs bar had a great vibe and the restaurant was so popular it was booked out, which must be a sign it's good. We plan to stay again next time we are in Devonport."

The Grand On Macfie

The Grand On Macfie

10/10 Excellent
"This was a historic stay. We loved the tiny details and felt like we had stepped back in time to a Jane Austen novel. Highly recommend for people who love old mansions. I taught my daughters about encyclopaedias - the google of yore - and we also loved watching the spirit of Tasmania berth. "
